The Vita-Salute San Raffaele University was established in 1996 and is an academic institution that has been nominated the 1st University in Italy by citations per paper by the World University Ranking Scheme. It is also ranked 1st in non-state university Master’s Degrees in medicine and with its 225 Professors the university has rapidly risen to prominence from its beginnings with a Psychology faculty to its expansion to the faculty of Medicine and Philosophy.
