Development of a Private Hospital Complex in Baghdad

Known for its restaurant, this structure was severely damaged by the conflict in the Iraqi territory. The redevelopment of the Turkish Restaurant Hotel includes the creation of a specialised hospital, with a shopping centre and a panoramic restaurant on the top floor. The architecture of the new project maintains the original features of the structure, respecting its history while looking towards the future.

The design is inspired by the Babylonian gardens, integrating natural elements such as the water of the nearby Tigris River and the greenery of Tahrir Square. This fusion of nature and architecture will not only enrich the aesthetics of the place, but also create a space for citizens to meet and converse. The inclusion of green areas and fountains will help improve air quality and create a healthier environment for the community. The redevelopment of the Turkish Restaurant Hotel is an example of how a place can be reborn, turning the history of conflict into an opportunity for growth and hope. By integrating history, culture and community, this project could become a symbol of unity and renewal for Baghdad, uniting past and future generations in a journey of rehabilitation and progress.
