The Benghazi Medical Training Academy

The Benghazi Medical Training Academy

The Benghazi Medical Training Academy is conceived as an infrastructure dedicated to medical education, expressing the company’s expertise in the design of hospital and healthcare facilities. With a total area of approximately 2,000 square meters, the project is envisioned as a place for the transmission of knowledge and the development of skills, designed to meet the requirements of international training programs.

The architecture is articulated through two adjacent volumes that establish a formal and functional dialogue: a main building, which serves as the core of educational and administrative activities, and a secondary volume housing the kitchen and cafeteria. A technical storage facility for building systems, located at the rear, completes the overall organization of the complex. The volumes are defined by an essential and contemporary architectural language, characterized by a filtering façade that regulates light and visual perception, giving the building a distinctive and institutional character. The vertical rhythm of the shading elements engages in dialogue with the transparency of the ground floor, making the internal functions legible and creating a balance between solidity and openness.

Inside, the spaces are organized around an entrance hall, administrative offices, training areas, conference rooms and study rooms, as well as services dedicated to students. Clear spatial distribution and the close relationship between architecture and function define an efficient and welcoming environment, capable of translating the values of healthcare education into a sober, functional architecture focused on the quality of space.
