The Vita-Salute San Raffaele University New Campus Project

San Raffaele's new University campus project is located in Milan and Vimodrone and represents a significant educational initiative that will be dedicated to training future generations in crucial fields such as medicine, psychology and philosophy. The structure will be divided into different sections, including the University, study rooms, offices, a student hub, laboratories, canteen, library and a student housing complex, thus offering a fully contained, stimulating environment.

The campus design was inspired by the historic Cassinella building, which inspired the square shape of the various buildings of which the campus is composed. This architectural choice not only pays homage to the local heritage, but also allows for a harmonious integration of the modern and the traditional. The dimensions and height of the buildings have been skilfully adapted to suit the context, creating spaces that encourage interaction and learning.

The various buildings are connected by a landscape that is designed to soften the rigidity of the structures’ shape through sinuous curves and green spaces. This approach not only enhances the aesthetics, but also promotes student well-being by encouraging socialisation and cooperation.

Elements such as water, greenery and communal spaces help transform the campus into a true centre of life, where students can study, meet and grow.

In short, the new campus of the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University aims to be an innovative and inclusive location, dedicated to the education of young people while at the same time, creating a new point of reference for the community, with the aim of providing a bright future full of opportunities.
