The building for a new hospital in Tirana, covering an area of about 23,000 square metres, fits harmoniously into the urban and landscape context of the city. Although 15 floors high, the height of the hospital is progressively reduced thanks to a series of terraces located at different heights which create a subtle visual impact that is integrated into the territory. Furthermore, the use of greenery inside and outside the building helps to strengthen the link with the surrounding landscape, creating spaces of well-being and connection with nature.
On the ground floor, a versatile commercial space offers areas for both hospital public use, enriching the liveability and functionality of the entire complex.The hospital, distributed over the entire height of the building, is characterised by an architecture that exploits the terraces to organise the interior spaces in a fluid and natural way, adapting perfectly to the landscape.
